Hard surfaces hold soil, odors and contaminants which discolor your surfaces.
First, we apply a cleaning solution to your tile and grout that begins to loosen the embedded dirt and soil. We then mechanically agitate the tile and grout to suspend the dirt and soil. Finally, powerful truck mounted equipment is used to safely blast away the dirt and soil which renews the tile and grout.

Most grout and some tile is a porous material that can absorb stains, odors and soil. Once the tile and grout is cleaned, it should be properly sealed so it has a protective barrier to prevent future staining. Since the cleaning process opens the pores of the grout and tile and releases the dirt and soil, failing to seal it will leave it open to rapid re-soiling and potentially permanent staining.
A clear seal is recommended first since it is the most durable and least expensive option. A color seal is only recommended when the grout is permanently stained or if a client wants to change the color of the grout or if a topical coating is used. Please call our office to determine whether or not color sealing is an option for your floor.
The floor can be walked on about 60 to 90 minutes after it is cleaned and clear sealed. It will take about 24 hours for it to completely cure, so we suggest you don’t have any heavy traffic or liquid spills on the surface during that time frame. If the color seal option is chosen, a dry time of 2 to 4 hours is needed with a 48 hour cure time.

Slate is a tile we have had a lot of experience cleaning. We also offer an extremely durable gloss coating for slate. Ask our staff for a sample.
